FAQs

1)   What is the Fusion Portal?

We utilize our Fusion Portal to provide you with your child’s evaluation and other reports that you can access any time.  The portal also has all scheduled upcoming appointments as well as the ability to view and pay invoices.  You will receive an e-mail inviting you to the portal and can access it at

 Carolina Milestones Fusion Portal

2)   What is the cancellation policy?

As detailed in our intake paperwork, we require a cancellation to be made with more than 24 hours notice to avoid a $75.00 cancellation fee.

If a no-show occurs, your account will be billed, either invoiced or charged, and therapy can occur once the account is cleared)

Emergencies happen and can be excused on a case-by-case basis.

Please call our office at 843-594-3165 to cancel.

You can also communicate upcoming cancellations with your therapist, or e-mail us at  info@carolinamilestones.com.

If cancelling due to a reason other than a sickness, please reach out to our office or your therapist for a makeup session in order to maintain our attendance policy.   Makeup sessions occur at your therapists’ availability.

In addition, after three no-shows or attendance less than 80%, you will be placed on “Call-InStatus” (see below for more information).

3)   What is Call-in Status?

Call-In Status is when a family calls the front desk each week to find clinic availability for therapy. Time and therapist will not be consistent from week to week, however, it allows for more flexibility in scheduling.

Who is call-in status for?

·       For busy schedules and when a family’s schedule frequently changes.

·       Following an attendance policy violation.

·       After three sessions have been cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment or when a family has attended less than 80% of scheduled appointments, a child will move to call in status. When a family is able to make 3 consecutive weeks in a row as a call-in, the child is eligible to be on a permanent schedule when an opening becomes available.

4)   Can I leave my child at the clinic?

You can only leave your child if they are 12 or older and you must return 15 minutes

prior to your appointment ending time.

Fees will occur ($1/minute for every minute) if you are late.

5)   Can I participate in my child’s therapy sessions?

Absolutely, we encourage it.  We love when caregivers participate, play, and ask questions. We are a team!
